My Favorite K-drama Rewatch

There are some dramas you binge once and move on from — and then there’s The Uncanny Counter. For me, this show has become the ultimate comfort rewatch. There’s just something about diving back into its quirky, action-packed world that hits different, especially on a lazy Sunday with a hot bowl of ramen in hand.
Set in a world where demon-hunting isn’t just real — it’s managed by noodle shop workers — The Uncanny Counter brilliantly blends supernatural thrills with emotional depth.
The story follows a group of “Counters” tasked with tracking down evil spirits that possess humans. At the heart of it is So Mun, a high school student who suddenly gains powers and joins the team, bringing both a fresh perspective and raw emotional weight to their mission.
What makes this show such a comforting rewatch isn’t the fight scenes or the wild premise — it’s the characters. The Counters feel like a true found family. There’s a warmth in their dynamic that’s hard to describe but easy to feel.
Personally, I especially love Season 1. While Season 2 introduces some cool new characters, the new Counter didn’t really click for me, and the storyline leaned a bit too soapy at times. Still, the heart of the series holds up.
If you’ve never watched this gem, you’re missing out on one of the most unique and heartfelt supernatural K-dramas out there. And if you have seen it — what did you think?
