I'm back!!! 🥳
I know it's been a while. Life got chaotic and I ended up juggling a few other projects which sadly left this blog a bit too quiet. But I'm finally here again and genuinely excited to write new reviews.
This review will look a little different from my older style. More fun with bullet-style thoughts and more personality. I hope you enjoy the read and the fresh format.

The Manipulated follows Park Tae-joong, a delivery worker whose life collapses after he is framed for a brutal murder he did not commit. With no one to trust and evidence pointing directly at him, he is thrown into prison while the real mastermind, An Yo-han, watches from the shadows.
This drama is intense, unsettling, and gripping enough to make you question everything.
I absolutely loved this drama and Ji Chang wook carried it with a strong performance. His acting had a dark edge with a theatrical flair that suited the character. His on screen chemistry with Lee Kwang soo as Baek Do kyung stood out most, their friendship felt warm and believable in a world built on violence and manipulation. They balanced each other well and their scenes were among my favorites.
The drama leans into a darker and more graphic tone than most k-dramas and it commits fully to its atmosphere. I had not watched one of Ji Chang wook’s projects since Empress Ki which I did not enjoy, so I went in with low expectations. Instead I found myself drawn in from the first episode to the last. The direction, pacing and storytelling kept me completely engaged.
All in all it was an incredible cast, but I was most impressed by Kim Joong hee. He played a minor villain role especially well. Here is a short clip below.
